Who we are
Mallorca Boat Hire (“we”, “us”) operates mallorcaboathire.eu and is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website. For any question about your data, or to exercise the rights set out below, contact us at info@mallorcaboathire.eu or +34 673 356 472.
Mallorca Boat Hire is not the end service provider. We arrange bookings with independent boat owners and operators, who provide the charter itself.
What we collect and why
- Enquiry and voucher forms: your name, email address, optional phone number, and the details of your enquiry (boat, port, date, number of guests, and message). Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). We use this information only to respond with availability and a quote, and to arrange any booking.
- Analytics and advertising measurement: page views, session data, and conversion events collected through Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads (via Google Tag Manager). Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given through the cookie banner. Nothing is collected until you accept.
- Spam protection: Cloudflare Turnstile runs on our forms to block automated submissions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and free from abuse (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Where your data is stored
Enquiries are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase within the European Union. We retain enquiry records for up to 24 months in order to manage follow-ups and bookings, after which they are deleted, unless a booking creates a longer legal or accounting obligation.
Third parties who process your data
We share personal data only with the processors needed to operate this site and respond to you:
- Supabase: enquiry database, hosted in the EU.
- Resend: delivery of your enquiry confirmation and our internal notification email.
- Cloudflare: website hosting and Turnstile anti-spam verification.
- Sanity: content management for our boat and page content (no form data).
- Google: Analytics 4 and Google Ads (via Google Tag Manager), only after you accept cookies.
We intend to add WhatsApp (Meta) for enquiry notifications in the future, and this policy will be updated before that goes live. Each processor operates under its own privacy terms and, where data is transferred outside the EEA, under Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies
Essential cookies required for the site to function may be set without consent. No analytics or advertising cookies are set before you accept them through our cookie banner. Until you accept, tracking is disabled by default under Google Consent Mode v2. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s storage in your browser.
