Why the evening is the good part
The breeze that builds through the afternoon drops with the sun, and the bay settles. The chop flattens, the coves that were busy at noon are empty, and most people are back on shore by then.
Low sun turns the north coast cliffs a deep copper, and the water holds the colour long after the sun has gone. Add a sea that has had all day to warm up, and the last swim is the one people talk about at dinner.
