Better than the beach, for once
A beach splits a family up. The loungers spread across a busy stretch of sand, somebody walks off for food, somebody else wants shade, and the day quietly becomes four smaller days happening near each other.
A boat does the opposite. Same view, same swim, same afternoon. The kids go in the water straight off the deck and get back out again without a five-minute negotiation about towels.
Where to go with kids aboard
Can Picafort is the easy one: calm bays and short hops along the north-east, which is what you want when the crossing is the least fun part of the day for a seven-year-old. The sheltered water inside the Bay of Pollença does the same job with more coast to explore.
Pick the boat by the group
Around four guests, a small sport boat is plenty. Around eight, a motor yacht, with proper shade and room to sit apart when that becomes necessary. Up to twelve, the catamaran out of Palma, which has the most deck and wins for anything with candles involved.
Every boat lists its maximum capacity on its detail page, and that number covers everyone aboard.
Get a skipper
Nobody is on duty, nobody is watching the depth instead of the party, and the adults can have a drink. Skippers go on almost any boat, rates varying by boat, confirmed when you enquire. We handle the route, the briefing and the anchoring. Your job is the playlist.
